Midlife-A-Go-Go the podcast!

Nov 27, 2019

When was the last time you had a good laugh? I mean that cathartic, belly-hugging, soul singing kinda laughter? Our bodies need laughter. It's healing. It's powerful. In some ways, it's contagious.

On this episode, I'm having a great chat with NaKaisha Tolbert-Banks. NaKaisha is, among other things, an author,  clinical social worker, Certified Laughter EmpowerMEnt Coach, clinical addictions counselor and energy leadership master practitioner. She's also the founder and CEO of DUO EmpowerMEnt Services, LLC, a firm that provides therapeutic counseling, life coaching, mental wellness consulting and training services. In our chat, we discuss the importance of laughter, the universal nature of laughter, how she employs laughter in her practice and more.

It's not all fun and games, but we do have a good time! Listen in as NaKaisha and I chat about:

  • Her background as a social worker.
  • Why laughter?
  • The universal language of laughter.
  • How NaKaisha employs laughter in her practice (laughter yoga, relaxation, medication, etc.).
  • Empowerment and midlife women
  • How she finds balance in her life.
